Veteran Employee Spotlight: Jacob Grossschmidt, Plant Production Control Manager

Meet Jacob Grossschmidt, a U.S. Army veteran and the Plant Production Control Manager at Canton Drop Forge. With over 13 years at CDF, Jacob brings a level of discipline and leadership that traces directly back to his military service.

Jacob served in the U.S. Army from 2005 to 2011 as a Human Intelligence Collector, specializing in source operations and interrogations to gather critical intelligence. He completed two deployments to Iraq—his first from September 2007 to December 2008, where he supported infantry units in western and northern Baghdad. His second was in 2010–2011, serving as a contractor on a Counterintelligence Support Team.

During his service, Jacob also completed intensive language training at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, California, and earned the Gold German Armed Forces Proficiency Badge at Fort Bragg, North Carolina.
