Canton Drop Forge recently highlighted Lift Truck Safety and training. Toolbox meetings were held each day to discuss and review the dangers of lift-trucks. At the end of the week, each department had a pizza lunch and reviewed the lessons learned during the week.
Lift trucks are used extensively at Canton Drop Forge, and are an important component used in processing and material handling. OSHA estimates forklifts cause about 85 fatal accidents per year; 34,900 accidents result in serious injury; and 61,800 are classified as non-serious.
